Current Vacancy: Preschool Practitioner

Want to work in a friendly, experienced and fun team, with inspiring children in a beautiful natural environment and vibrant community? Too good to be true?

Our outstanding and truly wonderful preschool in Calstock offers all that and more…… so read on…perhaps you’ve got what it takes to be our next Preschool Practitioner?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Preschool Practitioner with a minimum qualification (or working towards) of NVQ level 3 (Early Years) and experience of working in an early years setting or with children under 5. As part of a super friendly, highly experienced and hands-on team, you will be required to help provide a stimulating and varied programme of educational play for children, and for helping ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times.

Tamar Valley Pre-school in Calstock strives to promote a safe, caring and stimulating environment, in which all children flourish and reach their full potential. The main ethos of our pre-school is building the independence and confidence skills needed for life and school. We do this by learning through play and delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. To understand our approach better; yes, we help start the children on their essential written literacy – but we also have our own bouncy castle!

We are an OFSTED ‘outstanding’ provider. We run in the Calstock Village Hall and in the ‘Enviro-mania’ site (forest school) of the Calstock Primary School on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

If you are currently undertaking NVQ Level 3 training but are not yet qualified, and are interested in the role, please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you.
